How Do I Register for CCDTC Classes?
To download general information about registering
for classes, click
here.
With the exception of conformation classes, pre-registration
is required for all other classes (obedience, rally, and
agility unless the class description specifically identifies the
class as "drop-in").
To print out an application form, click here for class
registration form in PDF format or click here for a
registration form in Word format. A parent or guardian must sign
the release if the dog handler is a minor. Send the
registration along with a statement from your veterinarian that
your dog is in good health and is up to date on vaccinations (as
required by your veterinarian and in accordance with the protocol
used in their practice) and a check for your class
registration fees. If you include an email address, class
confirmation will be sent by email.
For the protection of all who train here, dogs will not
be allowed in the building unless a health certificate is on
file. In the case of puppies, it may be necessary to bring health
certificate to first class.
We are asking for
a signed and dated statement from your veterinarian that your dog
is in good health, appropriately vaccinated, and is ready to
attend classes at CCDTC.

A Few Class Rules
- We provide equipment for you to use to clean up after your dog. We ask that you please use this equipment to clean up when necessary.
- All dogs must be kept on a leash and under control at all times. Dogs in heat cannot attend classes – we suggest that you attend the class so that you can learn the exercises to work on at home with your dog.
- Children must be under the control of an adult when observing classes so the instructor can concentrate on the training.
- Children should not approach other dogs unless permission has been given by the handler.
Typical Questions and Answers:
1. How will I know if my registration has been
accepted and I am in the course for sure?
We will contact
you by phone if we do not meet the required minimum for the
course. We will contact you to reschedule or return your fees.
Thank you for your patience!
2. How will I know if a class has been
cancelled because of bad weather or other emergency?
If a
class must be cancelled because of inclement weather or other
emergency, please check our website home page for cancellation
notices. Notices will be posted at least one hour before class
time.
3. Are other family members, including children, permitted to
come to the training classes?
We encourage other family
members to come to learn how to train the family pet. We ask that
children who are not actually training in the training ring
remain seated quietly and observe the class.
4. My puppy's (dog's) shot records will not be complete until
a few days before the course begins. What should I do in regard
to making sure that CCDTC has these records on time?
If
at all possible, please include shot records with your
registration materials. If you need to mail them at a later date,
please do so. If you are concerned about whether your shot
records will be received on time, please contact the registrar to
make other arrangements.
5. I am concerned that my puppy (dog) may be "aggressive" -
should I consider a training course if this is the case?
First of all, it is important to determine whether or not your
dog is indeed "aggressive". Please call the club voicemail at
513-625-4337 with your question or contact the registrar for
suggestions.
6. If I am unable to attend a class, what should I do?
Let your instructor know beforehand if possible so that s(he) can
tell you about the next class. Your instructor will also provide
a phone number to call for class homework, etc.
We look forward to hearing from you and hope that we can help you
and your dog build a better relationship. Please call the club
recorder, (513) 625-4337 if you have any specific questions about
classes or Email at the following: info@ccdtc.org
Sincerely,
