Baby Puppy Class
(for puppies 8 weeks to 18 weeks of age at start of class)
No Prerequisite.

Goals: introduce the puppies to novel experiences and obstacles, practice leash walking, and provide basic training ideas. Discuss crate training, house training, testing for your pup and making vet visits and grooming a good experience for puppies and people alike.
Vaccinations: CCDTC does not require any specific vaccination protocol. Rabies is not required in the county until 6 months of age.

Basic Training for the Adult Dog

This class is equivalent to Puppy Kindergarten but for the older dog who is 12+ months with little to no prior formal training. The dog may be a rescue, a loved family pet that needs some manners work, or an older dog who needs a refresher.

This class teaches the building blocks of training. Learn how to break down each behavior into small components to shape what you want. While your dog will learn some "tricks," the focus will be on learning to identify the steps to create a training language with your dog. Handlers will work with their dogs to shape a polished and consistent finished behavior.
Dogs must be 6 months or older at start of class.
Dogs do not attend first class.
One dog per handler.
