Conformation Class Schedules
Conformation Regular Drop-In
(for dogs 3 months and older)
“Drop-in” Classes for those planning to show in the Conformation Show Ring and for youth doing Junior Showmanship and are for purebred dogs only. Dogs three months or older are welcome.
This Class concentrates on Handling, Showmanship, and Ring Procedure. Registration is not required for these classes; however, up-to-date shot records must be presented to the instructor before bringing your dog into the facility. Please, no bitches in season.
At the current time, these classes are offered most Tuesday evenings. THE SCHEDULE BELOW NOW SHOWS ONLY THE SKIP DATES EACH MONTH.
Important note: These classes are not obedience classes.
Single class fee for non-club members payable each time: $5

Conformation Class
7 weeks - limit 8 students.
This is a 7 week class (not a Drop In).
The goal in this Conformation Class is to instruct skills to handlers and dogs required to enter your dog in a breed show. Emphasis is placed on learning how to present your dog to a judge and handling skills. All work is done on a show lead. Newbies, Juniors, 4-Hers (or those who need polish time) can join this class to learn how to handle a dog for showmanship in 4H, AKC, and UKC. You will be learning patterns and how to stack your dogs as well as basic anatomy.
