The following three links, regarding the importance of puppy socialization at an early age, address why CCDTC strongly supports allowing puppies in classes as early as 8 weeks of age.

Baby Puppy Class
(for puppies 8 weeks to 18 weeks of age at start of class)
No Prerequisite.
Limit of 6 dogs per class
One dog per handler.
7 week class
Note: 1st week of class is Orientation and is for "humans" only.
Goals: introduce the puppies to novel experiences and obstacles, practice leash walking, and provide basic training ideas. Discuss crate training, house training, testing for your pup and making vet visits and grooming a good experience for puppies and people alike.
Vaccinations: CCDTC does not require any specific vaccination protocol. Rabies is not required in the county until 6 months of age.

There will be no member discounts for this class.
This class is designed for dogs who struggle with 'dog on dog' reactivity.
Dogs may have issues barking, lunging, jumping, over excitement or difficulty focusing.
Using the techniques inspired by Control Unleashed, handlers will learn to build dog's confidence, increase focus, and improve emotional regulation in a safe and structured environment.
This class is perfect for dogs who get overwhelmed or overstimulated around triggers.
This class provides the tools to manage reactivity and promote calmer, more controlled behavior.
Reactive Dog Class
(for dogs 12 months and older at start of class)
6 weeks - One hour classes.
Limit of 6 dogs per class
Dogs attend all classes.
One dog per handler.

NEW CLASS
ADVANCED and PERFORMER TRICK DOG

Prerequisites: Trick Dog Intermediate to earn Advanced title
Trick Dog Advanced to earn Performer title
7 weeks - Limit of 6 dogs per class
DOGS ATTEND ALL CLASSES

To achieve the AKC Advanced Trick Dog title, your dog must perform 10 advanced tricks from an AKC approved list.
To achieve the AKC Performer Trick Dog title, your dog must perform at least 3 performer tricks and 7 advanced or intermediate tricks.
The class will include some performer tricks as well as advanced tricks that have not been included in previous classes.
Class will include testing for these titles. You may test for the Advanced or Performer title or both.
A sample of the tricks included are: barrel roll, Lassie pose, bring me a tissue, limping and skipping, side pass and play soccer.
